Cookie Policy
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to store information between page visits or browser sessions. They are widely used to keep users signed in, remember preferences, and understand how people use a service.
2. Cookies We Use
Session Cookie (Strictly Necessary). When you sign in with Google, Singuit sets a session cookie to keep you authenticated. This cookie contains only a session identifier — no personal data — and is deleted when you sign out or close your browser session. Without this cookie, you cannot remain logged in.
Google Analytics Cookies (Performance/Analytics). We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the Service. Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
- _ga — distinguishes users; expires after 2 years
- _gid — distinguishes users; expires after 24 hours
- _gat — throttles the request rate; expires after 1 minute
These cookies collect information in aggregate and anonymized form. Google may process this data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Google OAuth Cookies. Google's sign-in flow may set its own cookies to manage the authentication handshake. These are governed by Google's Cookie Policy and are removed after sign-in is complete.
3. What We Do NOT Use
Singuit does not use:
- Advertising or targeting cookies
- Remarketing or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.)
- Cross-site tracking technologies for profiling users across other websites
4. Managing and Disabling Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, delete existing cookies, or receive alerts when cookies are set. Note that blocking session cookies will prevent you from signing in, though the song library and playback features will remain accessible without an account.
To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal (navigator.globalPrivacyControl = true), Singuit honors it automatically — analytics tracking is disabled before Google Analytics loads, with no additional action required from you. GPC is recognized as a valid opt-out signal under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our practices change. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
